At the beginning, we encountered the initial challenge of distinguishing between those who have virtually nothing and those who may take our assistance for granted. However, it's important to recognize that even those who may appear better off often grapple with poverty, particularly in Somaliland, where roughly 70 percent of the population is unemployed. Therefore, our approach, we visit various IDP camps to observe and engage with the residents firsthand and distribute monthly food packages funded by generous donations. As our organization expands, our strategy evolves to include inviting individuals to our office for formal interviews to assess their cases. Subsequently, field officers will conduct thorough follow-ups to verify and support their needs.
